Welcome!
Troop 512 is a strong, boy-run troop. The Scouts plan and make decisions regarding all aspects of the Troop’s program including campouts, Troop meetings, and high adventure outings.

Our objective is to provide a place where each Scout can experiment with his own leadership style and determine what works best for him in a no risk environment. The adult staff, of over 35 registered members, is fully engaged with the Scouts in an advisory role to ensure that all activities are conducted safely.

Our Activities...
Troop 512 operates a year round program and participates in one outdoor activity each month, mainly campouts. In addition to camping, our program has included hiking, biking, backpacking, canoeing, rock wall climbing and rappelling, waterskiing, horseback riding, archery, rifle shooting, kayaking, and fishing.

The Troop maintains a full complement of camping gear, tents, and canoes for the boys. It is important to allow Scouts to learn teamwork and leadership skills within their patrols but parents are welcome to attend campouts or help out in ways that match their talents and time availability. Here are some of the upcoming activities our Scouts have planned:
